Scotiabank began operations in Panama in 1974 with the goal of meeting the growing need for international commercial banking.

Since then, Scotiabank has grown to offer a wide range of products and services in Commercial and Personal Banking. It has been offering mortgage loans since 1999 and opened its first branch in Panama in the El Dorado area in 2004.

Currently, the bank has 12 branches strategically located in Panama City and in the interior of the country, specifically in David and Boquete in the Province of Chiriquí. Scotiabank believes in Panama and continues its expansion plans through organizational growth, offering personalized, top-quality service to all its clients. In its early decades, the bank focused on the corporate sector. Today, we are a bank geared towards both Personal and Commercial Banking, offering a wide range of products and services tailored to the needs of our market.
